Ever since I watched that Mary-Kate and Ashley movie (Passport to Paris) where they caused havoc in Paris, it has always been on my list of places to visit. Seeing it on TV sporadically just reinforced my love for it; and when I binge watched The Hills (I can feel you all judging, but I don't care!) I made the ultimate decision that I was going to visit Paris whether it killed me or not.
After several careful planning attempts I put it on the back burner for about two years. Then all of a sudden my friend Caitlin mentioned how she would go with me and it went from there. We set our hearts on Disneyland with a day in Paris. After Caitlin cleared time off for work and I made sure I had no issues with Uni we went and booked it a few weeks ago. Despite a bit of a traumatic experience of debit cards not working, the website trying to charge us twice and numerous phone calls to the bank we finally got our confirmation email and I am so excited.
I realise that the touristy parts of Paris are the nicer parts, and I mean we are going for Disneyland in particular, but if you can suggest anything that I definitely have to do while I spent a day in Paris then let me know in the comments! We go in November and I am already far too excited.

*Also, a massive thanks to any one who has filled in my survey. It was for my "dissertation" aka practical project and I'm sure there will be many more in the future!*

That is so exciting! I have yet to go but my husband has been all over Europe and when he has the chance, he talks only good things. ^_^
ReplyDeleteSo JEALOUS. I really really want to go to Paris, I just never seem to have enough money. You're going to have the best time! xxx
ReplyDeleteAhhh! I want to visit Paris so badly! It's definitely on my list of places to go next year. I finished uni back in May and I'm not looking for a job for a while so I can save up before I go interrailing :) xo
ReplyDeleteThis will be really exciting for you! I would definitely recommend taking a ride on the river if you have the time, just a word of caution though KEEP YOUR VALUABLES AWAY! The pick pockets in Europe are very, very good at what they do, believe me you wouldn't even notice a thing (used to live in England and went to France/Italy/Spain all the time)
ReplyDeletehot chocolate at Angelina is a must! and i bet the trees are beautiful in the Jardin de Tuileries this time of year. i hope you have a wonderful time xx

That is such a stunning picture of the Louvre. One day I'll have to go there...
ReplyDeleteI'd suggest going to one of Pierre Herme's patisseries and buying an unusual macaron there--he is the King of macarons! Also, I wouldn't go up the Eiffel Tower; there will inevitably be a queue and you'll just waste a chunk of your day waiting to go up in the lift. A cruise along the Seine is a much better idea, I think.
