In my last post I wrote about how having some "me" time is incredibly important and therapeutic, which it definitely is, but then I got to about day four of being alone and felt like I hadn't seen anyone in forever. To rectify this, I immediately jumped back into making social plans and ended up having three BBQs in a week and three nights out in a row, if that's not a good record I'm not sure what is.
Night one was Tash's birthday, she turned twenty two and we went to celebrate with drinks, food and ended up dancing with strangers in gay bars. Note: I made a best friend who was called Jamie, he Irish danced to Bewitched - "C'est La Vie". I think that just says it all. Night two consisted of a family takeover at my house, BBQ included of course, and everyone got overly drunk and extremely loud incredibly quickly. Standard. My final night out was a more reserved evening at Penners, who had us all over at his humble abode. Ring of Fire ensued (I declined, I hate drinking games), but we did set off Chinese lanterns and almost ended up setting his house alight.
All in all I've just generally been enjoying my adventures, and I hope they continue, because the reality of returning to university is drawing closer and closer and I'm dreading every second of it. So here's to summer, let's hope it sticks around.
Looks like lots of fun!
