Slow Down

I can't honestly believe it's August already, where is 2013 going and how can I get it to slow down just a little, jeez! Anyway, a lot of posts that I have been reading today mainly consist of photo challenges that people started in July and finished yesterday. I tried to do the whole, take a picture every day for a year thing, got to around mid-March and failed terribly. I think I can manage a solid month this time though, so for every day in August I'm going to take one photo. I won't post them all on the blog, but I'll do a round up post at the end of the month.

I've decided the pictures are going to be of anything I want. I deliberated about joining in the self-portrait challenge over at A Beautiful Mess, but I know I'll get too picky about each photo and end up pushing the project to the back of my mind. I'm also going to give myself the rule of allowing iPhone photos to count, but I'm going to try my hardest to take them all on my DSLR. I've had it for over a year now and I still sometimes feel uncomfortable taking it out during social events, but I've made a promise to myself to at least try harder this time.

I don't really know what else I have planned for August, it seems to be a fairly chilled out month at the moment (famous last words I'm sure). I guess I'll just be taking each day as it comes, but hopefully this little project will inspire me to get out and do more unusual things in the hopes of getting more photos.
