From Frozen To Fresh

For some reason I start blogs when I realise that I have long periods off from education. I seem to think that if I start documenting my life, I'll go out and do more interesting things instead of deciding to hide away in the comfort of my house with endless cups of tea and my Grey's Anatomy box sets, so let's see how well this goes.

I suppose it would be rude of me not to introduce myself properly too, so hello! I'm Bekka and I'm twenty years old. I live in the North East of England and I run my own music website which produces monthly zines too.

I can often be found attending gigs or with a camera round my neck making my friends feel uncomfortable while trying to take their photos. As previously mentioned, I'm a little bit obsessed with Grey's Anatomy and I've vowed to read more this year too. I also told myself I was going to get a tattoo, and five months into the year I'm still no further on that front. I guess I ignore my own thoughts more than I realised.

You can expect day-to-day life posts, my attempts at cooking, and any adventures I find myself on to be documented right here on Orbiting Oceans. One of the main reasons behind this blog, and also partially the name, was to have one place in particular to document my three week trip to Florida, so you'll definitely be seeing a lot of that on here too.

I may have forgotten to mention that I study Magazine Journalism at University. I really don't enjoy it, so I went out to celebrate the ending of my second year yesterday. I'm also heading out tonight to see some local bands play, and I'll be attending my cities musical festival on Sunday and Monday to see the likes of Ellie Goulding, Bastille, The Vaccines and Paloma Faith. Maybe you'll hear about it.

Anyway, here's to four and a half months of freedom. I hope I use them wisely, and this little blog is hopefully going to help me along. Thanks for reading!
