Everything At Once

In my first post I mentioned that I would be going to my city's music festival which was held over the last weekend in May. It's safe to say that the people I was with made the entire experience worthwhile, as the majority of the crowd were underage kids who were coated in fake tan and so intoxicated they couldn't even hold their own weight. That being said, I managed to check out Ellie Goulding, Bastille and Paloma Faith, and enjoyed myself a fair bit despite being loaded with cold. The sound tech's managed to completely destroy Ellie Goulding's set, and I couldn't see a thing during Bastille, but Paloma Faith put on a world class performance, and that seemed to make the weekend all worth while.

Since those musical festivities I've just been pottering around here there and everywhere trying to get myself sorted for going away. I've had odd days out shopping, spent a lot of time with my family which involved far too much alcohol on every occasion and generally enjoyed the sunshine that we've actually had over here in England. I also said my final goodbyes for three weeks to some of my favourite people yesterday over chinese food and drinks, and now my holiday is actually feeling real.

I'm pretty much all sorted and ready to go for my three week trip to Florida. I've pre-packed, but I'll definitely be checking I have everything another 9 million times, I have my dollars (which still seems like monopoly money), and I've loaded my iPad with a bunch of films to keep me entertained on my flight. A 9 hour flight by yourself doesn't seem that bad until you do it, but believe me it can be incredibly boring if you're like me and can't sleep on airplanes. I am however incredibly excited and I can't wait to catch up with the people who are practically my second family over there. I fly on Monday, and all that's left for me to do is celebrate Father's Day early this evening with a family meal, and have an incredibly chilled out day tomorrow. Expect lots of pictures on my return, or if you wan't to see what I'm up to you can follow me using the links below.
