Blogs don't tend to express negativity. I've found that people either choose to eliminate the negativity from their blog space because it's somewhere where they share all the positive things in their life. Or you get those people who are living in a facade and don't even accept failure at all. But failure is an important part of growth and development, and no matter how hard we try to run away from it we have to face it some time.
I decided at the start of August I would take a photo every day. I haven't succeed, but this is failure on a small scale. In all honesty my photos weren't a true representation of my day to day life. I haven't been feeling very active this month, nor like myself and one day I completely forgot to take a photo having not moved from my bed all day due to a headache. So I decided to call the project off. I could have continued with a day missing, but that didn't feel right.
So here are the few photos I did take this month. You can't be afraid to try new things, even if the possibility of failure is staring right in your face.
This is a great message, and these are darn great pictures. It never hurts to bring a little reality into the equation, and trying not to do projects just for the sake of having said I've done them is a lesson I've been trying to learn lately.
ReplyDeleteThe sideways picture of you in the hat is really pretty. But they're all great.
These photos are really, really cool! Negativity and failing is unfortunately a part of life, so I'm glad you're not afraid to speak about it on your blog! Go you!

I find it so hard to commit to something once I've said I will on my blog. Real life gets in the way and I rank my blog SO FAR behind that! Your photos are great and I've just started watching Orange is the New Black but can't decide if I like it or not... xxx
ReplyDeleteI've failed several times at these type of photo challenges. I think it's really hard, specially because not all days are "worth" documenting if you know what I mean. I don't understand people that fake content or try to spin things a certain way. I could never be that dishonest :/ My blog is my space and its important for me to share what's really happening, after all that is the reason I started a blog. For record keeping purposes and to store and share my photos. If someone doesn't like it they can simply find another blog that's more appealing to them.
ReplyDeleteGreat post! ♥
