Reminiscing: The Lake District

When my parents and I got our dog Bailey four years ago, the family holidays stopped being abroad and instead we decided to explore the UK, more specifically the Lake District. Although I have had the pleasure of going to Florida for the past two years to visit friends, my parents have been in not so sunny England the whole time. This year we didn't even make it to the Lake District, so I thought I'd share some of my favourite photos from our past trips with you.

All of these photos are from Coniston, which is a little area in Cumbria. They have an extremely relaxed way of life there, and it's a great place for walking, hiking and exploring with friends, family and pets by your side. Coniston Water is the third largest lake in the English Lake District and is absolutely beautiful. I missed not being able to walk down to the pier, stare up at the moon and watch its reflection glisten across the water this year. I also missed early morning hot chocolates in the cafe near by and walking for hours on end and finding secret little places along the way. I kind of don't miss getting completely lost in the middle of nowhere though, in the middle of a massive thunderstorm and having to walk through a restricted area which was overrun by cows - but hey, at least it's a story to tell.  Have you ever been anywhere like Coniston before?
