It seems lately like I'm functioning in life because of colour coordinated spreadsheets that I've recently become obsessed with. I used to be a list girl, I had lists for everything. But now I have colour coordinated spreadsheets to keep myself organised and focused, both are states of minds that I usually find hard to keep a grasp of. Lately though, things are on the up - which is good, because uni commences in two weeks and I'm the type of girl who takes on nine million things until someone tells me to stop. I'm just too much of a busy body to notice that there's only so much one person can do.
With that being said, this weekend has been so relaxing and exactly what I needed. From friday morning to evening the rain lashed across the windows and started forming streams rather than puddles on the ground. Any thoughts of a wild friday night were immediately disbanded and I settled for Netflix and cups of tea. Yesterday I had a lovely little lie in before heading into town with Tash and Caitlin. As a student who's summer is almost up, my bank balance is pretty much zero, so I had set myself a budget for the day. Thankfully I can report that I stuck to it, even after splurging on two pairs of jeans, a beautiful tartan scarf, a hot chocolate and a piece caramel shortbread. We then went back to Tash's with alcohol in our hands, ordered a pizza and spent the evening chilling out and watching TV. Sometimes it's nice just to step back from crazy day-to-day antics and have a break. My rest of the day includes watching the rain from the window, answering emails, eating my body weight in chocolate and drinking it in tea.

You've left the world of list-writing?! Well, spreadsheeting must be fun - may I ask which app you use for them? I'm trying (and currently failing) so organise myself.

I love to have everything super organized, the same as you. It sounds like you've got a nice rhythm going. In my opinion it's always better to be busy than to be bored, so keep on going! :D
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun, relaxing weekend. I need one of those. Sadly there's just no time. As for colour co-ordinating... as long as it's colourful in list form, I can handle it. I am still a list girl.
