Weekly Favourites #1

I thought I'd make a new little feature to share with you what I've been loving lately. I named it weekly favourites because although I don't have the intention to post this every week, my tastes change quickly. I find new things to be fascinated with so easily that calling it monthly just wouldn't be quite right! So here are my favourite things from this past week or so.

Category: Music

Song: "Youth" by an artist called Foxes. You may have heard of her before, she's been featured on Zedd's hit "Clarity" and "Just One Yesterday" by Fall Out Boy. She is really underrated as a solo artist, and I think she's gonna get pretty big within the next year. You can listen to "Youth" here.

Music Video: Well it's week one, and there's already a tie. When I had the idea to do this feature I knew that Katy Perry's "Roar" was going to be my favourite music video. It's more like a snippet from a feature film than a music video and I absolutely LOVE it. But my friend Tash so kindly mentioned me in a tweet which contained a link to this video by Ylvis, and already it's making its way around the internet. I genuinely don't know how to feel about it, or why it exists, but it makes me laugh a lot.

Thing I've Eaten: My favourite thing that I've eaten this week definitely has to go to the above desert that I got for less than £3 when I was out with my parents. Vanilla ice cream, marshmallows, malteasers and cream topped with toffee and chocolate sauce, yes! It was absolutely beautiful but unfortunately I couldn't finish it all because I'd devoured and spicy chicken and rice burrito just beforehand.

Recipe: I have been craving some chocolate brownies for days, and Sonia over at Erstwhile Felicity posted some double chocolate chip cookies that she had made, and I can't wait to try them out for myself.

Aubrey @ The Daily Simple

Blogger: My favourite blogger this week is Aubrey, who blogs over at thedailysimple.com I recently found her blog and I have literally fallen in love with the diversity and sincerity of her posts. In the down time that I've had, I've been going back through a couple of posts to try and understand her story, and I can already say that I'm jealous of her plans to travel the world in an RV with her husband. My favourites posts she has written this week are 5 Ways To Give To Strangers and Postcard Pendants.
